StoryBank uses a modern AI-based process to interview you or your loved one on the memories and insights you want to preserve. You can start a conversation at any time with your Storybank AI, and talk as long as you like. It’s just like a regular conversation with a friend. Our AI interviewer will summarize each conversation into a written story as told by you. You can of course type your stories instead of speaking them if that method is preferred.
StoryBank uses all of the conversations that you have with our AI to create a digital twin of the user. This twin not only sounds like the user, but will also have the memories of the user. It will also draw information from other public sources that relate to the stories that the user has told it about.
For example, if you tell StoryBank a story about a trip you took to see a Musical on Broadway in 1995, your twin will also know things about that story that you did not explicitly tell it. Like who was performing in that musical, and what else was showing on Broadway that year. The effect of this related knowledge is one where your digital twin will be able to have a detailed conversation on most of the memory topics you share, just like the user would be able to in real life.
In the future, so much of our conversations will be online, that having a digital version of you available to join those conversations will seem like a natural evolution for our ancestors. By having a StoryBank digital twin that knows your memories, insights and opinions, future generations will be able to have detailed conversations with you and be influenced by your insights.
StoryBank provides your stories and memories to your friends, family and future generations using modern technologies like the internet. Like a story book, those stories are available to read, listen to, and enjoy. But by having them online and connected to a digital twin, the ability for your twin to be part of the conversation is unlike anything that has existed before.
